QC Inspector (Mechanical / Piping)

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of QC Inspector (Mechanical / Piping) in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and piping inspections in accordance with approved project specifications, drawings, ITPs, and applicable quality standards.
  
• Inspect piping materials, fabrication, fit-up, welding, installation, supports, and associated mechanical components.
  
• Verify materials against approved specifications, drawings, certificates, and project requirements.
  
• Monitor welding activities and verify compliance with approved WPS and applicable inspection requirements.
  
• Review inspection records, test reports, material certificates, and other QA/QC documentation.
  
• Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions with construction and quality teams.
  
• Witness required inspections and testing activities and maintain accurate inspection records.
  
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, QA/QC, and client representatives for inspection clearance and quality compliance.
  

Required Skills

Mechanical Inspection: Ability to inspect mechanical equipment, components, and installation activities against approved requirements.

Piping Inspection: Knowledge of piping fabrication, installation, fit-up, supports, and inspection requirements.

Welding Inspection: Understanding of WPS, weld visual inspection, weld defects, and related inspection processes.

QA/QC Documentation: Ability to work with ITPs, inspection reports, NCRs, material certificates, and quality records.

Engineering Drawings: Ability to interpret piping drawings, isometrics, specifications, and relevant technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Oil & Gas project inspection exposure.
  
• Familiarity with NDT methods and welding documentation.
  
• Knowledge of applicable international mechanical/piping quality standards.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Work experience was not specified in the supplied requirement. A typical QC Inspector (Mechanical / Piping) position in Oil & Gas may require prior hands-on mechanical/piping inspection experience, particularly in construction, fabrication, shutdown, maintenance, or project environments.

Education

Minimum: Typical — Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Preferred: Relevant QA/QC or Welding Inspection certification

Additional: Industry-recognized inspection/NDT certifications are advantageous where required by the project.
