Roles Responsibilities Ertem Rivero Partners is looking for a Marine Surveyor to join our Dubai Office and support our expanding marine surveying activities across the UAE and the wider Middle East region The successful candidate will be involved in a broad range of marine surveys and casualty investigations on behalf of Hull Machinery Underwriters P I Clubs Shipowners and other marine interests Key Responsibilities Hull Machinery damage surveys and casualty investigations P I related surveys and investigations Condition PrePurchase surveys Towage Fitness surveys Loss of Hire surveys JH Condition Surveys Cargo damage surveys Preparation of detailed technical survey reports Liaising with Underwriters P I Clubs Shipowners Managers repair yards and other parties concerned Attendance on board vessels at repair yards throughout the UAE and when required overseas Desired Candidate Profile Marine Engineering Naval Architecture Marine Transportation or other relevant maritime background Minimum four 4 years of seagoing experience including at least one 1 year served in the rank of Second Engineer or Chief Officer Previous marine surveying experience would be an advantage Good knowledge of ship structures machinery and marine operations Strong written and spoken English Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally at short notice Valid UAE driving licence would be an advantage UAE Middle East marine surveying experience would be an advantage
