Area Engineer

Job Description

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Area Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities within the assigned plant, project, or operational area.
  
• Monitor field engineering activities and resolve technical issues affecting project execution or operations.
  
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, method statements, and other technical documentation.
  
• Coordinate with construction, operations, maintenance, HSE, QA/QC, and project engineering teams.
  
• Ensure engineering activities comply with approved specifications, Oil & Gas standards, and applicable HSE requirements.
  
• Monitor contractors and subcontractors to ensure engineering work meets quality and schedule requirements.
  
• Identify technical risks, engineering constraints, and interface issues and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.
  
• Prepare engineering progress updates and communicate technical issues to relevant project stakeholders.
  

Required Skills

• Area Engineering: Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities within an assigned operational or project area.
  
• Oil & Gas Engineering: Understanding of engineering practices and execution requirements within Oil & Gas environments.
  
• Engineering Coordination: Ability to manage interfaces between engineering, construction, operations, and other disciplines.
  
• Technical Troubleshooting: Capability to assess field engineering problems and coordinate technically appropriate solutions.
  
• HSE & Quality Compliance: Understanding of safety, quality, and engineering compliance requirements in Oil & Gas projects.
  

Preferred Skills

• Multidisciplinary engineering coordination experience.
  
• Contractor and subcontractor management exposure.
  
• Experience working on large-scale Oil & Gas/EPC projects.
  

Work Experience Requirements

Strong knowledge of HSE laws, regulations, and international standards. Expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Ability to conduct audits and training programs effectively. Proficiency in MS Office and reporting tools.
