Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Senior Instrumentation & Control Engineer for ADNOC Gas to join us and make an impact within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be at client office in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and supervise Instrumentation & Control engineering activities for ADNOC Gas projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors and engineering consultants.
• Ensure designs comply with ADNOC standards, project specifications, international codes and applicable HSE requirements.

• Review engineering calculations for control valves, PSV/ESD interfaces, flow measurement, level measurement and instrumentation sizing.
• Review DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G and PLC engineering and ensure appropriate system interfaces.
• Coordinate I&C activities with process, mechanical, electrical, piping, civil, telecom and other disciplines.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessment/LOPA, SIL verification, alarm management and constructability reviews.
• Review EPC contractor/vendor technical documents and provide technical comments and approvals.
• Evaluate technical bids and participate in technical bid evaluations (TBE) and vendor selection.
• Attend FAT, SAT, inspection and testing activities for instrumentation and control systems.
• Monitor engineering progress, identify technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Provide technical support during construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, inspection and test plans (ITPs), NCR management and document control.
• Interface with ADNOC Gas, EPC contractors, vendors and other PMC disciplines.
• Participate in site inspections and resolve field engineering queries, RFIs and technical deviations.
• Review and approve as-built documentation and final handover dossiers.

Expected:

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant oil & gas experience, with substantial experience in senior/lead I&C roles.
• Experience with gas processing, gas compression, LNG, NGL, gas treatment or related hydrocarbon facilities is highly relevant.
• Strong experience in PMC/EPC project environments.
• Familiarity with ADNOC engineering standards and project specifications.
• Experience with DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G, PLC, SCADA and industrial communication systems.
• Knowledge of IEC 61508/61511, ISA standards, API and relevant international instrumentation standards.
• Experience participating in HAZOP, SIL/LOPA and other processes of safety studies.
• Strong coordination and technical review skills.
