Role Overview:

SYNCOMS Group is looking for a hands-on, performance-driven Talent Acquisition & HR Executive to take ownership of recruitment across the business.

The primary focus of this position is technical, digital and AI talent acquisition. We are particularly interested in someone who has previously recruited for AI, Machine Learning, software engineering, or other emerging technology roles and understands how to identify and approach these candidates in a competitive market.

The role will also support recruitment across other business functions, including operations, accounts, design and administration.

This is an approximately 80% Talent Acquisition / 20% HR position. It is ideal for someone who enjoys actively sourcing and headhunting candidates rather than relying solely on inbound applications.

You will be based in and work closely with our teams in Dubai, while coordinating with leadership and teams across the UK and USA, and reporting directly to the Director.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition – 80%:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment, from understanding the requirement through to offer acceptance and joining.
• Take a leading role in sourcing AI and technology professionals, including candidates with backgrounds in:
  • Artificial Intelligence / Generative AI.
  • Machine Learning.
  • LLMs and AI applications.
  • AI/ML Engineering.
  • Software Development & Engineering.
  • Data and other digital/technical disciplines.
• Recruit for wider non-technical positions across operations, accounts, design, administration and other business functions as required.
• Proactively source and headhunt passive candidates rather than depending only on job advertisements.
• Use LinkedIn Recruiter/Search, Boolean searches, job boards, referrals, professional communities and global sourcing platforms to identify suitable candidates.
• Conduct talent mapping for difficult-to-fill AI and technical positions.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of AI, technology and digital talent for current and future requirements.
• Conduct initial screening to assess candidates' experience, technical relevance, communication, salary expectations, availability and overall suitability.
• Work directly with hiring managers and leadership to understand requirements and translate them into effective sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate interviews and recruitment activity across UAE, UK and USA time zones.
• Manage candidate communication throughout the recruitment process.
• Support offer negotiation, counter-offer management and candidate closing.
• Maintain relationships with high-quality candidates for future opportunities.

HR Responsibilities – 20%:

• Coordinate employee onboarding and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate candidate and recruitment records within the ATS/HR systems.
• Assist with day-to-day HR administration and coordination.
• Support joining formalities and communication between new employees and internal departments.
• Help maintain a professional and positive candidate and employee experience.

Key Requirements:

• Proven hands-on experience in Talent Acquisition / Recruitment.
• Previous experience successfully sourcing or hiring AI, Machine Learning, software engineering or closely related technology professionals is highly desirable.
• Candidates with strong technical recruitment experience who can demonstrate exposure to AI hiring will also be considered.
• Demonstrable experience in direct sourcing and headhunting, including passive candidates.
• Experience recruiting internationally or across multiple markets is preferred.
• Comfortable using Boolean search, LinkedIn and other sourcing techniques.
• Able to understand technical job descriptions sufficiently to identify relevant candidates.
• Experience recruiting across both technical and non-technical functions.
• Comfortable working within a KPI and performance-driven environment.
• Able to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously and prioritise urgent requirements.
• Strong English communication and stakeholder-management skills.

You should enjoy searching for difficult-to-find candidates, approaching people directly, building networks and turning passive prospects into interested candidates.

Most importantly, we want someone who can demonstrate that they have actually worked on AI/technology recruitment and understand where and how to find AI talent.

You should be proactive, commercially minded, organised, persistent and comfortable being measured on results.

Performance Metrics (KPIs):

Performance will be measured through factors including successful hires, time-to-fill, quality and retention of hires, strength of candidate pipelines, sourcing effectiveness, candidate conversion and hiring-manager satisfaction.
