At Sener, we are delivering one of the region's most complex and innovative Rail & Metro programs. We are looking for an APM Site Supervision, CTBC signaling Engineer to join our systems engineering team on site, supervising installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

The role requires an APM/Metro signaling background with mandatory ATS or SCADA experience, ideally with Thales/Hitachi exposure, and will involve coordinating signaling interfaces with the wider railway system on site.

Job Purpose

Provide on-site supervision and technical engineering support for CBTC Signaling & Telecommunications systems on the Jeddah Airport APM Project (Saudi Arabia), as part of the systems engineering team. Ensure on-site installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities comply with contract specifications and the approved design.

Core Job Responsibilities

1. Supervise and inspect on-site CBTC Signaling & Telecoms installation, integration, testing, and commissioning activities.

2. Validate on-site signaling & Telecoms activities against the approved design.

3. Ensure performance compliance with contract specifications and the approved design.

4. Monitor inspection requests and maintain inspection logs.

5. Follow up on NCRs and snagging/punch lists through to closure.

6. Prepare proper documentation and reporting of all activities throughout the project lifetime.

7. Provide support to other disciplines as part of the Testing & Commissioning (T&C) team.

8. Coordinate CBTC Signaling & Telecoms interfaces with Rolling Stock, PSD, SCADA, OCC, and other railway systems on site.

Expected Performance Outcomes

1. Ensure CBTC Signaling & Telecoms site works are delivered in compliance with the approved design, contract specifications, and applicable standards.

2. Maintain accurate inspection logs, NCR/snagging records, and site documentation.

3. Support timely resolution of site-level technical and interface issues.

4. Ensure safe and quality-compliant execution of installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

5. Provide effective on-site technical supervision and coordination with the T&C team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Education & Certification

1. Bachelor's degree in electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering.

2. Master's Degree is an advantage.

3. Relevant railway or signaling certifications are an advantage.

Technical Skills & Years of Experience

1. 8-10 years of on-site experience in railway Signaling & Telecoms systems.

2. Experience with CBTC signaling systems, including ATP, ATO, and ATS, is mandatory.

3. Experience on Automated People Mover (APM) or driverless Metro projects is mandatory.

4. Strong understanding of CBTC architecture, interlocking, zone controllers, and wayside equipment is mandatory.

5. Previous participation in CBTC integration testing, dynamic testing, trial runs, top-level demonstration tests, and handover is required.

6. Hands-on knowledge of CBTC interfaces with Rolling Stock, PSD, SCADA, Telecommunications, and OCC systems.

8. Strong understanding of railway systems integration, GoA4/UTO operations, and applicable standards.

Language & Interpersonal Skills

1. Good English communication skills; Arabic is preferred.

2. Strong site coordination and stakeholder management skills.

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

4. Ability to coordinate with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams on site.

5. Strong on-site leadership and supervision skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

1. GCC experience is highly desired; Saudi residents are prioritized.

2. Experience working with international CBTC signaling system integrators.

3. Participation in trial run, demo test, and handover stages.

4. Experience on large-scale CBTC-based APM or driverless Metro projects.

5. Dubai Metro / GCC Metro experience.
