Day Technician - Finishing (Steel Industry)

Professional Experience (Must Have) 5 years' Experience In steel industry into Mechanical Maintenance & Workshop Minimum Qualifications Diploma/Bachelor's Key Responsibilities Carry out daily mechanical maintenance activities in the Finishing Section . Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of finishing mill equipment. Attend mechanical breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect equipment and identify abnormal conditions such as vibration, leakage, overheating, misalignment, and unusual noise. Carry out dismantling, inspection, repair, assembly, and replacement of mechanical components. Maintain and troubleshoot gearboxes, bearings, couplings, shafts, rollers, guides, conveyors, shears, straightening machines, and related equipment . Assist with maintenance of cooling beds, roller tables, transfer systems, bundling and material-handling equipment. Carry out alignment, leveling, lubrication, and mechanical adjustment activities. Support planned shutdowns, major maintenance, overhauling, and equipment modification activities. Use mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance instructions when carrying out repairs. Check hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and coordinate with the relevant specialists when required. Maintain tools, tackles, lifting equipment, and maintenance spares in proper condition. Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Operations teams during maintenance activities. Record maintenance work, breakdown details, inspections, and completed jobs. Support root-cause analysis of recurring mechanical failures. Maintain good housekeeping in the finishing and maintenance areas. Follow all SOPs, PTW, LOTO, PPE, and plant HSE requirements.
