Senior Technician - SMP 1 Mechanical Shifts (SteelIndustry)

Professional Experience (Must Have) 5 years' Experience In steel industry into Steel Making Plant Minimum Qualifications Diploma/Bachelor's Key Responsibilities 7. Shutdown & Major Maintenance Participate in planned plant shutdowns and major maintenance activities. Lead technicians and fitters during assigned shutdown jobs. Ensure proper tools, tackles, manpower and spare parts are available. Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and within the planned schedule. 8. Team Supervision Allocate daily maintenance activities to Technicians, Fitters and helpers. Supervise contractor manpower where applicable. Verify the quality of completed maintenance work. Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and fitters. Conduct shift handover and communicate pending maintenance activities. 9. Spare Parts & Tools Identify required mechanical spare parts, consumables and tools. Report damaged or worn components. Coordinate with the maintenance/store team for availability of critical spares. Ensure proper use and safe storage of maintenance tools and equipment. 10. Documentation & Reporting Maintain shift maintenance records. Record breakdowns, corrective actions and equipment status. Complete inspection checklists and maintenance reports. Provide proper shift handover to the incoming maintenance team. Update maintenance activities in CMMS/SAP where applicable. 11. Safety & HSE Ensure all maintenance activities comply with plant HSE procedures. Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and Permit-to-Work requirements. Ensure proper PPE is used. Follow safe lifting, rigging and working-at-height procedures. Ensure equipment is properly isolated before maintenance. Report unsafe conditions and incidents immediately. Maintain good housekeeping in maintenance areas. Preferred Training / Certifications
