QUANTITY SURVEYOR – COMMERCIAL FIT-OUT

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial interior fit-out experience to join our team in Dubai. The candidate will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, quotations, tendering, variations, progress billing, vendor coordination and overall commercial management of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Take-Off & Costing
- Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for commercial fit-out projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and project costing.
- Prepare competitive quotations for new project inquiries.
- Review drawings, specifications and BOQs to identify project requirements.
- Analyse project costs and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Tendering & Commercial Activities
- Prepare and review tender documents.
- Analyse scope of work, specifications and commercial requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare detailed comparative statements and commercial analysis.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for commercial requirements.
- Support vendor evaluation and appointment processes.
Variations & Billing
- Prepare, submit and manage variation orders.
- Identify additional works and maintain proper variation documentation.
- Prepare and submit progress billings.
- Monitor project costs and commercial status.
- Coordinate with project teams regarding completed works and billing requirements.
Vendor & Project Coordination
- Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers and site teams.
- Handle material and vendor-related commercial activities.
- Follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and commercial submissions.
- Ensure commercial information is accurate and submitted on time.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of UAE/Dubai experience in a similar QS role.
- Strong experience in commercial interior fit-out projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, costing, quotations and tendering.
- Hands-on experience with variations and progress billing.
- Experience in vendor quotation evaluation and comparative statements.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction/interior drawings.
- Valid UAE Driving License – Mandatory.
