Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines, SPMs, and associated electrical and control systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment operation. The role involves preventive and corrective electrical maintenance, PLC/CNC troubleshooting, servo and spindle drive maintenance, machine commissioning, and supporting equipment availability and maintenance KPIs.
Key Requirements
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Maintenance Technician in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Strong practical experience in CNC machines, SPMs, machine tools, and industrial electrical systems.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting CNC controllers, PLCs, HMIs, I/O modules, control circuits, and machine communication systems.
Strong knowledge of servo drives, spindle drives, servo motors, spindle motors, encoders, and feedback systems.
Experience troubleshooting electrical panels, MCCBs, MCBs, contactors, relays, overloads, transformers, power supplies, and control components.
Experience with sensors, proximity switches, limit switches, pressure switches, solenoid valves, and other field devices.
Ability to troubleshoot CNC axis faults, servo alarms, spindle alarms, encoder faults, over-travel alarms, interlocks, and safety circuits.
Experience in preventive and corrective electrical maintenance and root-cause analysis of recurring machine failures.
Ability to perform electrical testing using multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and other diagnostic equipment.
Experience supporting CNC machine installation, relocation, commissioning, dismantling, and reinstallation.
Good knowledge of machine safety circuits, emergency stops, door interlocks, safety relays, and machine protection systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, OEM manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.
Experience maintaining accurate breakdown, preventive maintenance, repair, spare-parts, and machine-history records.
Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe electrical maintenance practices.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience working with OEM service engineers, contractors, and suppliers is preferred.
Qualification
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Degree, technical certification, or additional training in CNC electrical maintenance, industrial automation, PLCs, CNC controls, servo systems, electrical drives, or machine tools will be an advantage.
Relevant hands-on technical experience in CNC electrical maintenance and industrial manufacturing may be considered alongside formal qualifications.
