Interior CAD/Revit Technician

Our client is a well-established design and delivery practice in Dubai, working on commercial and office projects across the UAE. They are looking for a CAD / Revit Draftsman to join their technical team on a full-time basis.

The role

You will produce and coordinate technical drawing packages across live projects, working closely with the design and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce GA plans, ceiling plans, flooring layouts and sections/elevations
• Prepare shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Coordinate with MEP, structural and architectural consultants to resolve clashes
• Prepare drawing packages for authority submissions (DM, DDA or Trakhees as relevant)
• Manage drawing revisions, transmittals and document control
• Take measurements and site information and turn them into drawings
• Work to BIM standards and CAD layering conventions
• Take direction from the Design Manager or Project Architect on priorities

Requirements

• Experience with fit-out or interior projects, if the commercial/office work includes them
• Familiarity with UAE authority requirements, and civil defence/fire and life safety drawing standards
• Working knowledge of Navisworks or clash detection
• Basic SketchUp, Enscape or Adobe skills for markups and presentation
• Diploma or degree in architecture, interior design or a related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience
• Fluent English; Arabic a plus
