Our client is seeking an experienced Export Manager with a specialized background in aluminum containers, PET and related material manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in export management and business development , focusing on key African markets , specifically Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya . This strategic leadership role requires expertise in international trade , logistics , and cross-cultural client management , within a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will be responsible for leading and managing the export department, developing new market opportunities , and ensuring operational excellence in export processes and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end export process , ensuring compliance , accurate documentation , and on-time delivery .
  • Develop and implement market entry strategies for target countries including Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya , with a focus on PET and aluminum packaging products.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain long-term client relationships with distributors, agents, and key accounts in designated regions.
  • Lead contract negotiations , prepare proposals , and develop competitive pricing strategies aligned with market demands.
  • Ensure adherence to international trade laws , customs regulations , and internal company policies .
  • Collaborate with internal teams —including production, quality control, logistics, and R&D—to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the export markets.
  • Drive sales growth by identifying and developing new business opportunities and optimizing existing client portfolios.
  • Represent the company at international trade fairs , exhibitions, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence and network within the industry.
  • Prepare and deliver performance reports , including sales forecasts, KPIs, and market feedback, to senior management.
  • Lead and mentor the export team , ensuring high levels of performance , efficiency , and customer satisfaction .

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics , or a related field .
  • An MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualifications are preferred.

    • Experience

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in export management , with a focus on PET and aluminum container manufacturing .
  • Proven experience handling exports to African markets , particularly Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Libya .
  • Strong knowledge of export documentation , international trade compliance , and logistics .
  • Experience working with ERP systems and export management software .
  • Familiarity with product specifications , quality standards , and industry regulations for PET and aluminum packaging.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in managing and developing teams .
  • Excellent negotiation , communication , and presentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills , with a results-oriented approach.
  • High cultural awareness and ability to work effectively in diverse international markets .

    • Languages

  • English : Professional proficiency (required).
  • French : A strong advantage, particularly for North African markets.
