Shangri-La Dubai
As the Director of Marketing & Communications , you will lead the hotels marketing and communications strategy to strengthen the brand, drive demand, boost revenue, and position ShangriLa Dubai as a top destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive innovative marketing and communication strategies focused on demand generation, brand experience, and public relations to enhance financial performance and elevate customer engagement across the hotel and its F&B venues.
- Develop a contentled communication plan, ensuring cohesive storytelling across all channels to reinforce hotel positioning and core brand pillars.
- Lead brand activation initiatives, ensuring the Shangri-La experience is consistently reflected through messaging, guest touchpoints, and marketfacing campaigns.
- Create integrated tactical and segmentspecific campaign plans that deliver measurable ROI and drive conversion across key business segments.
- Serve as guardian of all internal and external communications, maintaining brand integrity and ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Oversee the hotels social media strategy, driving impactful content that increases brand awareness, engagement, and advocacy.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to implement, enhance, and communicate the hotels ESG initiatives in line with corporate sustainability frameworks.
- Identify strategic partnerships and develop co-branded events and activations that elevate visibility and expand market reach.
- Develop overarching marketing strategies - including annual plans, property email communication, and budget oversight - aligned with business priorities for the hotel or group of hotels supported.
- Oversee execution of marketing initiatives, creative production, and project management to ensure targets are met and revenue opportunities maximized.
- Actively participate in and contribute to demandgeneration strategy sessions (SMR), partnering closely with Sales & Revenue teams.
- Reconcile marketing plans monthly in collaboration with the Director of Finance, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget tracking.
- Lead repositioning projects for Shangri-La Dubai in partnership with the Brand Team, VP of Operations & GM, and the hotels Executive Committee
- Serve as brand liaison, ensuring all marketing reflects the appropriate voice and successfully integrates continentwide or brandwide campaigns.
- Partner with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategies that optimize channel performance.
- Support group leadgeneration initiatives through targeted marketing activities and strategic communication.
- Conduct performance reviews, analytics, and reporting for key marketing KPIs, clearly presenting insights and recommended actions to stakeholders and owners.
