Procurement Officer — Location : Dubai, UAE | Employment type : Full-time
Position Summary : We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer with hands-on experience in Micros System PMI to support our hotel and restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement of food, beverages, operating supplies, and equipment, ensuring compliance with hospitality standards and seamless support to the kitchen and operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage and process purchase requisitions and orders for food, beverage, and operating supplies through Micros System PMI .
- Coordinate closely with culinary, housekeeping, and operations teams to understand procurement needs and delivery schedules.
- Monitor stock and par levels to avoid shortages and minimize wastage.
- Verify and reconcile invoices, delivery notes, and purchase orders to ensure accuracy before forwarding for payment.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date procurement data in Micros System PMI and generate regular purchasing reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers of food, beverages, and hospitality equipment.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly based on quality, timeliness, and service, and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing hospitality-specific procurement contracts and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, HACCP standards, and food safety regulations.
- Track and report cost-saving initiatives and supplier performance metrics to management.
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role within the hospitality industry (hotels or restaurants).Hands-on experience with Micros System PMI and FMC (Fidelio Material & Control) (mandatory).In-depth knowledge of hospitality procurement processes, F&B categories, and vendor networks.Strong negotiation and vendor management skills specific to hotel / restaurant supplies.Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards is an advantage.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.#J-18808-Ljbffr
