Assistant Professor in Financial Technology (FinTech)

United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position (Assistant Professorship) in FinTech within the College of Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000.

Responsibilities

• Strong commitment to teaching excellence, course development, and student advising at both undergraduate and graduate levels, with particular emphasis on integrating FinTech into the curriculum.
• Demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in their area of expertise that will result in publishing research findings in refereed journals.
• Actively engage in promoting the growth of the Finance program and the CBE at UAEU through personal outreach with students to the public and private sectors.
• Participate in the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and/or dissertations.
• Participate in committees at the departmental, college, and university levels as assigned.
• Provide consultancy to researchers, and the business community.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in Finance, Financial Technology (FinTech), or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university and AACSB-accredited school.
• Research record in Finance with a particular focus on FinTech, and demonstrated ability to publish in leading international journals.
• Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, curriculum development, and outcome assessment, with the ability to design and deliver FinTech-focused courses.
• Proven experience in teaching FinTech and Finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Openness to cross-disciplinary collaboration in research, teaching, and program development.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; and
• Excellent interpersonal skills, as a flexible and versatile team player.
