We are seeking a diligent and professional Director of Corporate Governance to join our dynamic UAE office.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be the focal point responsible for all compliance obligations, ensuring our business operations fully adhere to regulatory requirements.

Your duties will include evaluating current and new compliance regulations, managing the outsourcing program, and overseeing all reporting obligations.

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the domestic regulatory landscape relevant to financial services companies and a good knowledge of the corporate law of the AGDM.

Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee all operational functions, including Compliance, AML, and Risk, ensuring alignment and coordination across these areas.
  • Manage all compliance aspects within the UAE office.
  • Stay updated on changes in regulatory compliance laws and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to legal regulations and internal policies.
  • Plan and oversee compliance policies and procedures.
  • Define, implement, and take ownership of the company’s outsourcing policies in line with regulatory obligations for existing and new vendors.
  • Perform initial analysis for all outsourcing services and ongoing monitoring in accordance with regulatory changes.
  • Advise the company on regulatory compliance matters and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s business and provide regular reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct on-site audits of material outsourcing service providers as needed.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training for employees.
