Position Overview: As a proficient Android Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role within our team at ether.fi. We are seeking an individual with robust skills in Android development. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose, along with a proven track record of building innovative mobile applications. Your responsibilities will primarily revolve around crafting intuitive, secure, and high-performance native Android applications that seamlessly integrate with blockchain networks. Please note that this position is solely on-site in Dubai, UAE. While you can get started right away, we will require you to relocate within 1-2 months. We can sponsor your Visa application to the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain highly responsive, visually appealing Android applications using Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose.
2. Work closely with our product and design team to conceptualize and implement new features in Figma that enhance user experience and drive engagement within Android applications.
3. Collaborate closely with blockchain developers to integrate efficient data querying using GraphQL or other relevant technologies.
4. Implement Android-compatible web3 technologies to enable blockchain functionalities like transactions, wallet connections, and smart contract interactions within the DApps.
5. Uphold application performance, quality, and responsiveness standards, ensuring code integrity and organization throughout the Android development process.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in blockchain technology, Android development, and security protocols to continuously enhance the product's functionality and security.
7. Create Unit and UI-tests and a smooth CI/CD flow for internal/external testing and production releases.
8. Communicate with the Play Store representatives to ensure a smooth and timely release of the app every time an update is pushed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Kotlin, Android SDK, and Jetpack Compose with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Android development.
3. Demonstrated expertise in building Android applications, including interaction with backends and databases (GraphQL experience is a plus).
4. Familiarity with Android-compatible blockchain interaction libraries such as KEthereum, WalletConnect, or similar frameworks is a plus.
5. Knowledge of development tools and methodologies, including version control systems like Git, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and automated testing frameworks tailored for Android.
6. Experience or prior work in Blockchain and especially the Ethereum ecosystem is a plus.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
