The Finance Director – Middle East is responsible for the financial operations, forecasting and reporting of the Middle East region. The focus of which is partnering closely with the Vice President Middle East to provide valuable insight into the decision-making process as the portfolio of engineering projects executed in region expand across a broad geographical footprint.

KBR are seeking an individual who ideally has experience of working with a projects-based business, familiarity with US GAAP, and experience implementing change in the form of improved end-to-end cycle times.

This individual will work cross-functionally to challenge, understand and provide foresight of risks and opportunities to project performance. A deep understanding of project billing and accounting process will be developed as well as system structures and inter-dependencies. Through this understanding they will provide valuable business insight around delivered and forecast performance.

The right individual will have the ability to set-up Joint Ventures and work with local partners.

Qualifications

• Experience working within the day-to-day financial operations of an organisation, including technical, practical and leadership experience.
• Ability to build-out appropriate supporting team structures
• Excellent engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to gain the confidence and trust of the senior management team and the clients with whom we work.
• Flourishes in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• High level of curiosity with a desire to drive continuous improvement
• Excellent commercial acumen
• Highly organised and drives projects to completion
• Strong knowledge and understanding of planning and ERP systems and data.
• Embraces technology-led solutions.
• Ability to extract relevant data and interpret for analysis and communication succinctly.
