Job Purpose
The Technical Trainer is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees, customers, and business partners. This role focuses on developing effective training materials, conducting workshops, and ensuring participants gain a strong understanding of technical systems, tools, products, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive technical training programs, manuals, and learning materials.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of training content.
- Customize training modules based on audience needs and varying technical skill levels.
- Deliver engaging in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and hands-on demonstrations.
- Apply diverse instructional methods such as lectures, simulations, demonstrations, and multimedia tools.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, practical evaluations, and feedback.
- Analyze training results and identify areas for improvement in content and delivery.
- Provide constructive feedback to trainees to enhance skill development and practical application.
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, technologies, and best practices.
- Regularly update training content to reflect product changes and technological advancements.
- Collect feedback from trainees and stakeholders to continuously improve training programs.
- Coordinate with HR, technical, and operations teams to align training initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Prepare training reports covering session details, participation, and performance outcomes.
- Support onboarding by training new employees on technical and operational requirements.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Education, or a related discipline.Minimum 3 years of experience in technical training, product support, or a related technical role.Strong knowledge of technical systems, equipment, or software relevant to the business.Hands-on experience in diagnostics, repairs, operations, or technical support.Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and simple manner.Experience in creating and delivering structured technical presentations.Strong planning, organizational, and time-management skills.Certification in Training, Instructional Design, or technical specialization is an added advantage.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ERP system knowledge (e.g., SAP) is a plus.Key Skills & Competencies
