Technical Writer - Real Estate

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our real estate technology team. The ideal candidate will create clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation for both internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities :

Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation , including user guides, quick start guides, API documentation, release notes, and training materials.

Develop and maintain official policies and procedures to support global teams.

Translate complex real estate and software processes into clear, concise, and accessible content.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure accurate documentation.

Ensure all documentation follows documentation standards, templates, and workflows .

Manage documents using EDMS (Electronic Document Management Systems) for version control, compliance, and approval workflows.

Conduct user feedback sessions and usability testing to continuously improve documentation quality.

Work in Agile environments to align documentation with product updates and releases.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Technical Writer , preferably in real estate, property management, or related software industries .

Strong skills in technical documentation, API guides, user manuals, and training materials .

Experience drafting policies and procedures .

Familiarity with documentation frameworks such as DITA.

Strong understanding of workflow mapping, requirements gathering, and Agile methodologies .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills , with ability to simplify complex technical information.

Experience with EDMS platforms and content management systems.

Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organizational skills.

Preferred :

Experience creating multimedia documentation (videos, diagrams, screenshots).

Knowledge of real estate software platforms , APIs, or property management tools.

Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
