Cost Estimator

Responsibilities

• Tendering & Cost Estimation : Review project drawings, specifications, and scope of work. Analyze labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Prepare detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns. Develop cost comparison sheets for management approval.
• Quotations & Proposals : Prepare and submit quotations / proposals for clients. Ensure compliance with client requirements and project specifications. Revise and resubmit quotes based on client feedback or negotiations.
• Market Research & Pricing : Stay updated with Dubai market prices for MEP, HVAC, and maintenance services. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for updated rates. Benchmark pricing against competitors for AMC and one-off jobs.
• Technical & Commercial Analysis : Evaluate feasibility of projects. Prepare profit margin analysis to ensure company profitability. Suggest cost-saving alternatives without compromising quality.
• Coordination & Documentation : Work closely with engineers, project managers, and procurement teams. Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and contracts. Support management during tender submissions and negotiations.
• Client Interaction : Attend site visits to gather necessary project details. Discuss technical and financial clarifications with clients. Build strong client relationships to increase chances of winning contracts.
