LANDSCAPE ENGINEER

الوصف الوظيفيKnowledge of horticultural practices, specifically for large-scale hard and soft landscape works common to the Gulf region. Experience in taking over landscaping from existing contractors and identifying current defects. Ability to prepare and execute maintenance schedules and plans for softscape. Capable of preparing weekly, monthly, incident, and condition survey reports on softscape. Ensure recreational ground turfs are maintained to the highest quality, with necessary rectifications, modifications, and enhancements highlighted in monthly reports. Create and maintain an inventory for landscaping materials and replenish them once the threshold is reached. Provide recommendations on soil, plant, and tree conditions. Determine types and quantities of horticultural plants to be grown based on budgets. Provide technical support to other related departments for landscaping. Communicate and coordinate with other departments through various methods. Conduct monthly evaluations for service providers using KPIs and SLAs. Perform snagging, site surveys, BOQ preparation, and provide required support for the estimations team. Address potential issues of irrigation construction in weekly, monthly, and site coordination meetings. Good interpersonal skills Meet with clients on a regular basis to ensure work is carried out Proven ability to perform in a site supervision role. Must be knowledgeable of current landscape practices and how to best implement them on the project. Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and team members. Monitor routine maintenance and progress on reported deficiencies and ensure that maintenance is of good standard that ensures the viability and continued success of the installation and that issues are reported and addressed. Resource management (manpower and materials) Management of suppliers of materials for timely delivery. Treat client’s environment as if it were our own. Exceed client expectations to earn loyalty, trust, and referrals. Control and manage man, machinery, and material to achieve optimum efficiency. Check and measure the performed work in his line of work. Ensure that all crew working under them, foreman, team leaders, gardeners, etc., are aware of and work in accordance with the company HSE plan and client’s HSE standards. Ensure that the work carried out by the workers and other related activities are per the safety regulation and client’s standard. Implementation of a safe working culture and practice. Ensure to hold pre-job (Toolbox Talk) meetings before starting all types of risk-involved activities. Investigate all incidents and near-miss cases with the help of HSE Engineer. Give strict instructions to supervisors and team leaders in implementing HSE policy. Report to operations manager and HSE Engineer regarding all incidents and unsafe conditions. Ensure the maintenance of all vehicles / plants / equipment. Initiate the necessary disciplinary measures for violation of safety procedures on the site. Initiate the change of existing safety / operation procedures, if required. Attend the audits and OSH meeting and OSH committee with OM and HSE engineer. Must be computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. Experience with AutoCAD software. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of any landscape management software / CAFM / Asset Management will be an added advantage. Arabic speaking candidates preferred. Minimum 6-8 years of landscape maintenance experience (Soft & Hard landscaping and Irrigation & Water feature systems) is a must. Only candidates with UAE experience should apply for the job. Candidates with landscape project experience involving Soft / Hard landscaping, Irrigation & Water feature systems will get preference. Salary AED 6,000 to 8,000 based on experience.
