MySQL & Microsoft Server Administrator – Job Description
A skilled and detail-oriented MySQL and Windows Server Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems and Windows server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of both platforms while supporting development and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

MySQL Administration: • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases (including replication and clustering).
• Perform regular database backups, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Monitor and optimize query performance and database resource utilization.
• Manage user access, permissions, and database security.
• Implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Windows Server Administration: • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file servers.
• Apply security patches, update, and perform system upgrades.
• Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Handle server backups, disaster recovery, and incident response.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of experience in MySQL database administration.
• 3+ years of experience managing Windows Server environments.
• Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
