PLANNING ENGINEER

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in planning and scheduling for oil & gas-related projects including rig construction refurbishment and brownfield works. The ideal candidate should have a solid engineering background and be highly proficient in Primavera P6 and / or Microsoft Project to support planning activities across both the proposal and execution phases of the project lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare and manage detailed project schedules from proposal stage through execution ensuring alignment with project scope timelines and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project timelines work breakdown structures (WBS) and progress tracking systems for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.
• Assign resources to activities in the schedule to ensure effective and accurate tracking of progress productivity and resource utilization.
• Monitor schedule performance and update timelines using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project incorporating actual progress and forecasting future trends.
• Coordinate with engineering procurement and construction teams to ensure alignment between scope schedule and resources.
• Conduct critical path analysis identify schedule risks and develop mitigation or recovery plans.
• Provide regular look-ahead schedules progress reports S-curves and dashboards for project management and clients.
• Support project teams with delay analysis extension of time (EOT) justifications and variance analysis.
• Participate in internal and client meetings presenting schedule status updates and action items.
• Ensure compliance with planning and reporting procedures contractual requirements and project execution strategies.
