Pediatric Anesthesiology Consultant (Cardiac Experience)

We are looking for a Pediatric Anesthesiology Consultant (Cardiac Experience) for one of the leading hospitals in the UAE.Job Purpose:

To deliver specialized, evidence-based care in the management of acute, chronic, and cancer-related pain using interventional and non-interventional techniques. The Consultant will lead multidisciplinary approaches to pain relief and functional restoration, ensuring high standards of patient-centered care in line with the hospital protocols and international guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and manage patients with complex pain conditions, including neuropathic, musculoskeletal, postoperative, and cancer-related pain.
• Perform interventional pain procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and intrathecal therapies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans integrating pharmacologic, physical, psychological, and procedural interventions.
• Work closely with departments such as orthopedics, neurology, oncology, palliative care, and rehabilitation in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Ensure the safe administration of anesthetics and sedation when required for pain procedures.
• Lead and participate in inpatient and outpatient pain clinics, case reviews, and pain boards.
• Monitor treatment outcomes, document procedures, and ensure accurate, timely entries in hospital electronic health records system.
• Supervise and educate junior doctors, residents, and allied health professionals in pain management principles.
• Contribute to research, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of clinical guidelines for pain management.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, radiation safety, and regulatory compliance as per DOH and hospital standards.
