Westaffed is looking for a motivated and skilled ER Nurse to join our fast-paced Emergency Department team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, acute care to patients experiencing medical emergencies. You will assess patient conditions, prioritize care needs, and collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective interventions. Your ability to think quickly and act decisively will be crucial in stabilizing patients and addressing a wide variety of medical situations ranging from trauma to life-threatening illnesses. Additionally, you will play an important role in educating patients and their families about treatment plans and follow-up care. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ medical conditions upon arrival in the ER.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and document patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Prepare and assist with diagnostic tests and emergency procedures as necessary.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality assurance initiatives to improve ER practices.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license to practice in the state.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room or critical care setting.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in high-pressure environments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and family interactions.Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced team environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
