Job Description

• Read and understand contract documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure contractor compliance through observation, measurements, and testing.

• Maintain comprehensive records of contractor manpower, equipment, and daily activities, including materials delivery and site instructions implementation.

• Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer, applying all quality controls and procedures.

• Prepare site measurements, surveying checks, and comprehensive reports on structural inspections, including detailed findings and recommendations.

• Monitor health, safety, and environmental compliance during construction works, reporting any violations.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure structural integrity and compliance with project specifications.

• Participate in regular training and professional development activities to stay current with industry standards and best practices in structural inspection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering

• Minimum 7 years of experience in structural inspection, preferably building experience

• At least 3 years of experience working in the UAE (preferred)

• Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance procedures

• Excellent site measurement and surveying skills

• Proficient in preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate documentation

• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in construction

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders

• Meticulous attention to detail and highly organized work approach

• Familiarity with relevant software tools for structural inspection and reporting
