We are looking for a dynamic leader and doer who has a passion for both grassroots and digital marketing to own and lead the local customer brand experience and activations. The person should be able to paint with all the colors in the marketing palette—digital, social, community, traditional and all elements that will create brand favour and drive consistent customer footfall. The ideal candidate will become an integral ambassador for the company, brand and citywide culture. They will be on-site in the market and, while a self-starter is required, will work across a broad team touching many facets of our business. This is a crucial time in our society where we and our cities need champions looking to help us re-emerge.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate and execute local digital marketing activities
- Social media – organic and paid (knowledge of running paid social)
- Coordinate influencer programs
- Coordinate inclusion of restaurant activities with CRM teams
- Ensure content on web is updated and information is correct while working with broader teams
- Manage and coordinate vendor digital platform alignment
- Manage community digital platforms
- Oversee review sites (Google, Yelp, et al)
- Execute hospitality-specific consumer offers / promotions on company app; lead for all consumer-related programming locally
- Collaborate with PR agency and local teams
- Collaborate with landlord marketing team on broader activations and promotions calendar
- Lead local grassroots marketing
- Connect brand with neighbourhood programs and social media groups; work with local gatekeepers to promote the company
- Work with local boards and collectives to be part of the community; coordinate memberships / participation with restaurant associations, Tourism and Convention Bureau, BIDs, charitable organizations, local chamber of commerce, etc.
- Forge local partnerships (festivals, BID events, convention activities, local tourist-focused businesses)
- Activate weekly / monthly programs; liaise with all third-party activations
- Conceive and negotiate programming; coordinate day-of with restaurant operations teams
- Take social media content; coordinate third-party shoots
- Promotions for app and social media; collaborate with team on consumer-facing promotions
- Utilize a broad array of tools including the company App platform
- Blend local calendar with global company objectives
- Point of sale marketing; execute physical promotional signage
- Conduct competitor research and monitor neighborhood activities
- Reporting and research : set and track KPIs with weekly / monthly performance reports on marketing activities (footfall, social performance, influencer campaigns, paid and in-house advertising, app use, consumer offers)
- Optimize performance using data; gain local customer insight through surveys and word-of-mouth
- Budget management
