Job Summary :

The Denter is responsible for repairing vehicle body damage by reshaping, straightening, and aligning metal panels and body parts. The Denter ensures all repairs meet manufacturer standards and contribute to the vehicle’s original structural integrity and appearance.

AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Body Repair & Panel Beating : Inspect damaged vehicles and assess the extent of structural and surface damage.

• Remove, repair, or replace dented panels and parts using proper tools and techniques.
• Perform pulling, hammering, welding, and grinding to reshape vehicle bodies.

Surface Preparation : Sand and smooth repaired surfaces to prepare for priming and painting.

Welding & Metalwork :

Tool & Equipment Handling : Use body repair tools (e.g., hydraulic jacks, dollies, hammer kits, panel beaters, welding machines) safely and effectively.

Work Coordination & Documentation : Follow job card instructions and complete assigned tasks within set timeframes.

Quality & Safety Compliance : Ensure repairs meet OEM (original equipment manufacturer) specifications and company quality standards.

To be a successful Auto Denter , you should have strong technical skills in vehicle body repair, attention to detail, and the ability to restore vehicle panels and structures to original condition. A safety-conscious, efficient, and team-oriented approach is essential.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills :

2–4 years of experience as an automotive denter in a workshop or body shop

Familiarity with vehicle body structures and collision repair techniques

Proficiency in panel beating, dent removal, and body alignment

Basic welding and metal fabrication skills

Ability to read and interpret vehicle body diagrams and repair manuals

Knowledge of materials like steel, aluminum, and plastic and their repair limits

Commitment to safety standards and organizational policies

Strong work ethic with attention to quality and detail

Ability to work efficiently, meet daily targets, and adapt to changing tasks

Positive attitude, good teamwork, and the initiative to improve performance
