Lead Technical Field Advisor - GT Mechanical
Lead Technical Field Advisor - GT Mechanical role at FieldCore. This position contributes to management of site activities, planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources to complete work scope according to contractual requirements. You will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to complex issues, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning at customer power generating facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage, perform, and coordinate site activities
- Perform on-site installation of systems and equipment, and ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration after installation
- Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance at customer sites
- Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, and submitting time and expense sheets timely and thoroughly
- Approve changes and ensure safety compliance
- Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality and safety
- Maintain strong safety mindset to align with GE safety standards
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance checkout for a wide range of equipment vintages
- Coach, mentor, and train team members to share field engineering and product knowledge
- Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future outages
- Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site
- Perform walk-downs during installation to verify contractor work
- Perform aftermarket upgrades at the site
- Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required
- Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments
- May be assigned other duties to support FieldCore goals and core values
Required Qualifications & Experience
Technical / university degree or qualifying experience OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years in a Field Services role7+ years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance positionSuccessful completion of required level III training programsStrong technical competence in reading and interpreting electrical / mechanical diagrams, dial and laser alignment, and thermal growth equipmentExtensive travel to and from projects and various field assignmentsEnglish proficiencyDesired Characteristics
Experience overseeing field service activities; may have secondary expertise, with mentoring and team leadership skillsExperience and training on Alstom, Siemens, or other OEM equipmentExtensive field engineering services experienceStrong organizational and project management skillsStrong oral and written interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsStrong business acumen and ability to present GE products to customersFieldCore is an equal opportunity employer.
