Consultant - Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our esteemed medical facility in Dubai, UAE. As a Consultant Gastroenterologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal disorders, providing expert consultation, and performing advanced procedures. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations, to diagnose gastrointestinal diseases.
2. Interpret diagnostic tests such as endoscopies, ultrasounds, and biopsies to formulate accurate treatment plans.
3. Provide specialized consultation for complex gastrointestinal cases, collaborating with other specialists as needed.
4. Perform endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
5. Educate patients and their families on gastrointestinal health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all consultations, procedures, and follow-ups.
7. Participate in continuous medical education and training to stay current with advancements in gastroenterology.
8. Contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions, sharing insights and best practices.
9. Engage in research activities aimed at improving patient outcomes and advancing the field of gastroenterology.
10. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards in clinical practice.

Preferred Candidate

1. Board-certified in Gastroenterology with a valid medical license to practice in the UAE.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on gastrointestinal disorders.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
4. Proven track record of performing complex endoscopic procedures with high success rates.
5. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.

10. Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
