The Senior Tendering Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, including bid preparation, cost estimation, technical and commercial evaluation, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant submissions.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and commercial teams for inputs.
- Float RFQs, evaluate offers, perform techno-commercial comparisons
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and conduct comparative analysis.
- Prepare price breakdowns, cash flow & cost summaries.
- Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications for tenders.
- Ensure timely submission of tenders with full compliance to tender conditions.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, post-tender clarifications, and negotiations.
- Maintain tender records, cost databases, and historical pricing data.
- Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
- Mentor junior tendering engineers and estimators as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field).3–5 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or cost engineering.Strong knowledge of tender documents, BOQs, cost estimation, and techno‑commercial evaluation.Experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals.Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering / tendering software.Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tenders under tight deadlines.Professional certifications (PMP, RICS, or equivalent) are a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
