Tendering Senior Engineer

The Senior Tendering Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, including bid preparation, cost estimation, technical and commercial evaluation, and coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, competitive, and compliant submissions.

Key Accountabilities

• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and commercial teams for inputs.
• Float RFQs, evaluate offers, perform techno-commercial comparisons
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and conduct comparative analysis.
• Prepare price breakdowns, cash flow & cost summaries.
• Identify risks, assumptions, exclusions, and clarifications for tenders.
• Ensure timely submission of tenders with full compliance to tender conditions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, post-tender clarifications, and negotiations.
• Maintain tender records, cost databases, and historical pricing data.
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives.
• Mentor junior tendering engineers and estimators as required.
