Overview
The Procurement Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of procurement activities within the organization, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships. They will lead a team to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Lead the procurement team in sourcing vendors, evaluating proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic solutions.
- Continuously evaluate market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Oversee the procurement budget and manage spending to achieve financial goals.
- Resolve any procurement-related issues or disputes that may arise.
Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field; Master's degree is a plus.Proven experience in procurement leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar position.Strong negotiation and communication skills.In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve departmental goals.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
