OPD Nurse

The OPD Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to outpatients in the outpatient department They assist doctors monitor patient conditions provide health education and ensure smooth operation of outpatient services Key Responsibilities Attend to patients in the outpatient department taking vital signs and recording medical histories Assist doctors during examinations and minor procedures Administer medications and injections as prescribed Educate patients and their families about health conditions medications and followup care Maintain accurate and detailed patient records Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the outpatient area Monitor and respond to patient needs promptly and professionally Coordinate with other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care Follow infection control protocols and safety procedures Qualifications Skills Diploma or Degree in Nursing G N M B Sc Nursing or equivalent Valid Nursing License Registration Prior experience in outpatient care preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism Knowledge of medical software and recordkeeping systems
