Role Description

The Network Engineer L2 is responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to network administration, engineering, troubleshooting, security, and design. This is a full-time on-site role located in Dubai.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in network administration and engineering.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Expertise in network security.
• Ability to design and implement efficient network solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• In-depth understanding and good knowledge of transmission on Fiber Optics SDH, DWDM, OTN, ASON, ROADM, GPON.
• Fault management skills.
• Hands-on experience with Alcatel (Nokia) OMS 1350, UMS 1350 NMS, NFM-T.
• Alarm monitoring and fault resolution within MTTR.
• Coordination with NOC to resolve alarms and faults.
• Preparation of daily and monthly network performance reports.
• Coordination with vendors, IRU partners, and NOC team to restore faults within MTTR and ensure smooth network operation.
• Acceptance testing for new links and new NEs.
• Proficiency in VISIO, MS Office, and PowerPoint.
