ESTIMATION ENGINEER

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with a strong background in the insulation industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing client quotations based on material cost estimates, reviewing project specifications, and generating accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Take-Offs (MTO). The role requires in-depth knowledge of insulation materials, systems, and applications, along with experience in technical estimation and costing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

·Prepare accurate and timely client quotations based on material cost estimates.

·Conduct detailed specification reviews and provide technical clarifications.

·Prepare precise BOQ/MTO for all projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements.

·Extract quantity take-offs from isometric drawings and related documentation as per project specifications.

·Liaise with clients and contractors (through the Sales Department) to obtain clear and concise clarifications and assumptions for quotations.

·Coordinate with the Sales Department to address customer technical queries and provide necessary clarifications.

·Maintain continuous communication with the Purchasing Department to ensure up-to-date pricing and product availability, while optimizing inventory rotation.

·Collaborate with the Operations Team to ensure smooth handover of awarded (especially large-scale) projects.

·Maintain and update the quotation and estimation registers, including comprehensive records of all estimated and ongoing projects.

·Utilize the quote register to support the Sales Team in efficient follow-ups and opportunity tracking.

·Analyze monthly quotations and provide insights to the management and Sales Teams.

·Support the Procurement Department in the evaluation and analysis of supplier quotations.

Requirements:

·Minimum 3 years of experience in cost estimation and material take-offs related to insulation materials and applications.

·Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

·Strong understanding of insulation systems, materials, and industry standards.

·Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, isometrics, and project specifications.

·Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

·Strong communication and coordination abilities across departments.

·Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and estimation tools/software.
