Resident Engineer (Waterfront Project), 15+ Years’ Experience

RMJM is seeking to appoint a Resident Engineer for a Waterfront Project, to support the continued growth of our Abu Dhabi Studio.

Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to :

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Lead and direct site teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and laborers, to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Review design drawings and IFC documents, identifying discrepancies or potential issues early (strong detail-oriented skills required).
• Monitor progress against schedules, reporting delays or risks to project management with mitigation plans.
• Conduct inspections, snagging, and QA / QC checks, ensuring work aligns with approved materials and methodologies.
• Chair site coordination meetings, resolving technical clashes and ensuring stakeholder alignment.
• Enforce HSE regulations and uphold RMJM’s standards for excellence.
• Deliver the iconic waterfront project on time, within budget, and to RMJM’s exacting quality standards.
• Enforce 100% compliance with design specs, Abu Dhabi codes, and international best practices.
• Lead on-site decisively; resolve conflicts, preempt issues, and keep construction on critical path.
• Maintain a zero-incident site through relentless HSE leadership.
• Bridge all stakeholders; align contractors, clients, and designers to avoid delays.
• Drive innovation; propose value engineering solutions that save costs without compromising quality.
• Ensure flawless handover with complete documentation for operational success.
