Overview
The Credit Manager is responsible for evaluating, structuring, and recommending credit proposals in line with the bank’s credit policy and regulatory guidelines. This role ensures the quality of the credit portfolio by conducting thorough risk assessments and monitoring exposures, primarily within the corporate and institutional banking segments. Responsibilities
- Evaluate and analyze credit proposals from corporate, government related, and private banking clients.
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis including cash flow, collateral, and business model reviews.
- Ensure credit recommendations are in compliance with the bank’s risk appetite and UAE Central Bank regulations.
- Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to the local credit committee.
- Monitor the performance of the credit portfolio to identify early warning signs and take preventive measures.
- Review periodic credit reviews and risk grading of existing clients.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit policies, procedures, and risk frameworks.
- Liaise with auditors and internal compliance to ensure adherence to governance standards.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers to structure appropriate credit facilities.
- Coordinate with Credit Admin and Legal departments for seamless credit processing and documentation.
- Undertake credit due-diligence meetings with clients as and when needed.
