POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure staff works together as a team. Inspect staff grooming and attire, rectifying any deficiencies. Communicate with guests, other employees, or departments to meet guest needs. Respond to and fulfill special banquet event arrangements. Set up banquet areas / rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper setup of furniture and equipment. Inspect and maintain table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and compliance with group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues. Document relevant information in the appropriate department logbook.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support the team to achieve common goals. Follow all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniforms and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests sincerely. Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones with appropriate etiquette. Ensure adherence to quality standards. Read and visually verify information in various formats (e.g., small print). Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, or an entire shift. Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds alone, or over 75 pounds with assistance. Handle objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Navigate over uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, and ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
