Wakefield Council is looking to recruit a hardworking and dedicated Lifeguard to join our dynamic leisure team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment where safety, cleanliness, and service excellence are top priorities.
As a Lifeguard, you will play a vital role in ensuring our swimming pools are clean, safe, and welcoming for all users. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene while delivering excellent customer care in line with the Council’s values and policies.

Entry Requirements
This is an unqualified role, open to anyone to apply. However, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential to start in post.
Wakefield Council will fund your NPLQ course, but attendance will be expected as voluntary hours.
As part of the recruitment process, you will be required to complete a swim test prior to your interview. The test includes :
