Assistant Resident Engineer - ITS

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented ARE - ITS to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Lead the review, construction, and implementation of CCTV Camera Systems for ITS projects, ensuring optimal functionality, safety, and integration with other transportation infrastructure.

• Apply advanced engineering principles and methods to complete challenging assignments with precision, meeting project objectives and timelines.

• Ensure that construction and installation of ITS components are constructed following detailed specifications, data sheets, and other essential construction documents.

• Provide expert ITS advice and guidance on road and highway infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for the deployment, operation, and optimization of ITS applications.

• Collaborate and coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ITS solutions within broader project scopes.

• Perform complex engineering analysis and tasks, delivering high-quality solutions in alignment with client expectations and project specifications.

• Continuously monitor and assess the performance of ITS solutions, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.

• Uphold high standards of engineering quality, while managing and executing all tasks associated with this role, adapting to evolving project requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• BSc Degree in Telecommunications/Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering

• A minimum of 10+ years of post-graduate experience in construction supervision and delivery of ITS Communications Systems and CCTV systems.

• Extensive experience in overseeing the design, implementation, and construction of Urban Traffic Control Systems (TCS), ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Proven expertise in supervising the construction and deployment of CCTV Systems, from design through installation and integration.

• In-depth knowledge of local and international ITS, TCS, and CCTV design standards, procedures, and regulations, with a focus on practical application in construction delivery.

• Solid experience in managing electronics and telecommunications systems within the context of ITS, TCS, and CCTV installations.

• Proficiency in relevant computer software applications used for ITS, CCTV, and related construction activities.

• Prior experience working with local consultants and construction teams, with an understanding of local construction practices and regulations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively report, present, and coordinate across diverse teams.
