Assistant Resident Engineer - Civil - Sewerage Treatment Plant

Description

Stantec is looking to hire an Assistant Resident Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant in Dubai.

This role is for a project where the authority in Dubai is requiring the rehabilitation of an existing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to enable it to perform at its highest possible efficiency and to extend the plant to be able to receive and treat efficiently up to around 435,000 m3 / day. The selected candidate shall have extensive experience working in local sewage treatment plant facilities along with a proven ability to manage and supervise the construction works and optimization of the operation process within the existing STP in accordance with the specification.

Responsibilities include :

• Rehabilitation / Repairing of Civil Works
• Extension of the Plant to around 175,000 m3 / Day
• Rehabilitation of existing 260,000m3 / Day STP

Qualifications

The Assistant Resident Engineer must have full and complete knowledge of the existing infrastructure in the Emirates of Dubai.

The candidate must have a relevant degree from a recognized university and must have thoughtful knowledge and work experience of no less than 15 years of infrastructure works. He must be able to make on-the-spot decisions and deal with all service authorities. The candidate must have a thoughtful knowledge and experience in managing the site works for construction and sewage treatment plants and pumping station works of different disciplines. He must also have thorough knowledge and experience in the design of infrastructure works.

Familiarity with DM guidelines in following the progress of the works and managing the inspection activities of all the consultants' staff is essential to ensure that the actual works match the planned works as per the construction work program using quality assurance, quantity surveying, and project network techniques (Primavera P3).
