Research And Development Manager

Multi Trade Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced R&D and Quality Control Specialist to drive innovation and ensure the highest quality standards for our color, black, and white masterbatches, as well as various additives. This role will be responsible for leading research and development projects, implementing and overseeing quality control procedures, and developing new products to meet evolving market demands and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in polymer science, color chemistry, and material science, coupled with a proven track record in both laboratory and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities :

• Research and Development (R&D) :
• Conceive, design, and execute R&D projects focused on developing new color
• formulations, black and white masterbatches with enhanced properties, and
• innovative additive solutions.
• Conduct thorough literature reviews and stay abreast of the latest advancements
• in pigments, dyes, polymers, and additive technologies.
• Experiment with various raw materials, processing techniques, and formulations
• to achieve desired performance characteristics, color accuracy, and
• cost-effectiveness.
• Optimize existing masterbatch and additive formulations for improved
• performance, processability, and sustainability.
• Lead and participate in scale-up trials of new products from laboratory to pilot
• and full-scale production.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation of research
• findings and development processes.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand customer needs and
• market trends, translating them into actionable R&D projects.
• Quality Control (QC) :
• Establish and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and standards
• for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished masterbatch and additive
• products.
• Develop and implement standardized testing protocols for color matching,
• dispersion, physical properties (e.g., melt flow index, tensile strength, impact
• resistance), and other relevant parameters.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment used for QC
• testing and R&D activities.
• Analyze test data, identify deviations from specifications, and implement
• corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed quality control records and generate QC reports.
• Participate in internal and external audits related to quality management systems.
• Train production personnel on quality control procedures and best practices.
• New Product Development :
• Identify and evaluate new raw materials, technologies, and processes for
• potential application in masterbatch and additive development.
• Lead the development and commercialization of new color palettes, special effect
• masterbatches, and functional additives based on market needs and
• technological advancements.
• Work closely with suppliers to evaluate new materials and ensure their quality
• and suitability.
• Develop product specifications, technical data sheets, and application guidelines
• for new products.
• Provide technical support to customers on product selection, application, and
• troubleshooting.
