Job Description
The Project Risk Management Professional will be responsible for leading and coordinating all risk management activities specific to the Etihad Rail Footbridge Project, covering design, construction, and installation phases. This role ensures that all technical, construction, environmental, stakeholder, and interface risks are identified, assessed, and effectively mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
The position requires strong domain knowledge of transport infrastructure projects, particularly elevated pedestrian crossings and their integration within an operational rail environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement a Project-Specific Risk Management Plan in alignment with Etihad Rail’s standards and the broader program risk framework.
- Maintain a dynamic risk register covering engineering, construction, safety, environmental, logistical, stakeholder, and system interface risks.
- Facilitate regular risk identification and review workshops involving design consultants, structural engineers, HSE specialists, rail interface coordinators, and contractors.
- Conduct risk analysis for cost and schedule impact using tools such as Primavera Risk Analysis.
- Evaluate risks related to constructability, rail corridor safety, temporary works, access control, lifting operations, and integration with rail System Safety Management Plan (SysSMP).
- Provide input to key project documentation, including the HSE Plan, CEMP, SysSMP, Construction Management Plan, and Interface Control Documents.
- Track the implementation of mitigation and contingency measures, escalating critical risks to project leadership and the Etihad Rail Risk Governance Board.
- Prepare monthly risk dashboards and reports, highlighting top risks, emerging issues, residual exposures, and mitigation effectiveness.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years of experience in risk management for infrastructure or rail-related EPC projects.Experience with multi-stakeholder rail corridor projects (e.g., working with PMC, contractors, design consultants, and government entities).Familiarity with ISO 31000, PMI-RMP, or equivalent risk management frameworks.Skilled in risk analysis tools (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, Safran Risk).Strong understanding of system safety principles, constructability risk, and interface risk management, preferably within railway environments.Excellent facilitation, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.Additional Information
