Job Description

The General Manager for Steel Solutions Services is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the steel division,

including operations, sales, and customer service. This role entails developing and executing strategies to drive growth,

enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the delivery of high-quality steel products and services.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business objectives and drive growth in the steel solutions

market.

  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.

    • Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the steel division, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, and safety

    • compliance.

  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce

    • operational costs.

    Sales and Business Development

  • Lead sales initiatives to acquire new clients and expand business with existing customers, focusing on building

    • long-term relationships.

  • Develop pricing strategies and sales forecasts to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness in the

    • market.

  • Prepare and manage the annual budget for the steel division, ensuring financial targets are met and costs are

    • controlled.

  • Monitor key financial metrics, such as revenue, profit margins, and return on investment, to inform decision[1]making.

    • Customer Relationship Management

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by overseeing service delivery and addressing customer inquiries

    • and complaints promptly.

  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve products and services based on client

    • needs.

    Team Leadership and Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing team by recruiting, training, and mentoring staff to achieve departmental goals.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

    • Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, including health, safety, and environmental

    • requirements.

  • Develop and implement safety protocols to minimize risks and enhance workplace safety.

    • Desired Candidate Profile

    Education and / or Work Experience Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or

    • relevant certifications are preferred.

  • Experience : 7-10 years of experience in the steel industry or related manufacturing sectors, with at least 3 years in

    • a managerial role.

    Person Specifications :

  • Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and management abilities to drive team performance and foster collaboration.
  • Industry Knowledge : In-depth knowledge of steel production processes, market trends, and industry regulations.
  • Financial Acumen : Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
