Strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and subcontractor management. Proficient in project management software and tools. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Strong organizational and time management skills. Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
Description
The Subcontracting Engineer will be responsible for managing subcontractor relationships, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating subcontractor activities to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct site visits and audits to assess subcontractor performance and adherence to safety regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop subcontracting strategies and budgets.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with subcontractors to achieve optimal outcomes for the project.
- Review and approve subcontractor invoices and payment requests in accordance with contract agreements.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of subcontractors based on performance metrics and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of subcontractor performance and documentation for reporting purposes.
