Job Purpose
Plan and prepare work instructions that provide direction for Electrical / Mechanical / Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / Support based maintenance work with regard to corrective maintenance repairs, preventive maintenance (PM), surveillances, and the implementation of modifications.
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
- Plan online and outage work tasks daily, ensuring radiological exposure is As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA).
- Conduct field walk-downs to identify and analyze corrective and PM, modification, surveillance activities, and provide input for refining work package quality.
- Coordinate with Work Management (WM), Operations (OP), and Engineering (ENG) to identify and resolve work package issues.
- Identify purchase or procurement recommendations for all materials needed for work package execution to ensure work packages are adequately resourced.
- Review maintenance procedures to facilitate and enhance work package development, maintain compliance with codes, standards, vendor recommendation, and maintenance direction.
- Perform job tasks in a timely manner and with quality to achieve the highest level of safety and reliability for online and outage activities in support of both internal and external organizational needs.
- Participate in outage schedule rotation if required to minimize plant downtime.
- Participate in planning maintenance work activities to meet milestone commitments.
- Follow industrial safety, nuclear safety, radiation safety, human performance and regulatory compliance requirements to promote a safety conscious environment.
- Analyze equipment deficiency, human performance and industrial safety events to establish corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
- Endorse training, industry benchmarking, and World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) best practices to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in designating priorities for work activities to develop a resource-loaded implementation schedule that accomplish required maintenance.
- Conduct all maintenance programs execution in accordance with the Conduct of Maintenance, and as directed by approved plant programs and procedures.
- Assist with proper oversight of Long-Term Maintenance Services Agreement (LTMSA) contractors performing electrical maintenance tasks and verify that all work carried out is of the highest standards of safety and quality, and in compliance with the department and company-wide approved procedures, processes, and quality assurance program to effectively support safe and reliable plant operation.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Support outage and / or the ERO, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable, and continued operations; this may require shift work / off hours support.Professional Certifications
Technical certificates in the related job area.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant Science.3 years of relevant experience.Preferred
10 years of relevant experience, out of which 5 years of Nuclear Power Plant experience.Seniority Level
