Planning Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyse production schedules and material requirements to ensure adequate material availability for production processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed material planning models and forecasts based on production demand and historical data.
• Create demands for project deliverables and plant requirements.
• Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely ordering of materials and avoid delays in production.
• Represent planning department as a team member in IPTs.
• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize waste and improve material utilization.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality control teams to resolve material-related issues or discrepancies.
• Provide support for the continuous improvement of materials planning processes, including implementing automation or new technologies.
• Prepare and present reports on material planning performance, highlighting areas for improvement or cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure production flow by planning, creating, and closing shop orders; assist shipments by creating inventory movement transactions.
• Perform tasks assigned by the planning manager.
