Senior IT Engineer (SolarWinds Platform)

Help AG is looking for a Senior IT Engineer (SolarWinds Platform) with robust experience in managing hybrid environments comprising Linux, Windows, virtualization, and backup systems. The role will be responsible for end-to-end infrastructure monitoring, server management, and supporting high-availability enterprise systems using tools like SolarWinds, Hyper-V, and Commvault.

Responsibilities

Manage infrastructure visibility using SolarWinds to monitor performance, uptime, and capacity.

Administer and support Linux servers, including automation through Bash / Python scripting.

Manage Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy.

Administer Microsoft Hyper-V environments for virtualization and VM lifecycle.

Manage Dell physical servers and enterprise storage systems.

Operate and maintain Commvault for VM backup and restore procedures.

Perform regular system upgrades, patching, and maintain detailed documentation.

Provide timely support for infrastructure-related incidents and service requests.

Ensure high availability, performance, and security across critical IT systems.

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering roles.

Proficient in Linux system administration and scripting.

Solid experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Hyper-V.

Familiarity with SolarWinds for infrastructure monitoring and performance tracking.

Experience managing Dell server / storage platforms and using Commvault for backup / restore.

Good understanding of backup, disaster recovery (DR), and infrastructure best practices.

Industry certifications such as RHCSA, MCSE, VMware, etc., are a plus.
