UAE National - Team Lead AP Accountant

Our client is a well-established semi-government entity in Abu Dhabi.

• Lead the accounts payable function, including invoice processing, verification, and payment execution
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions in the ERP system
• Review and approve supplier reconciliations and payment runs
• Coordinate with procurement and finance teams to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and financial policies
• Prepare monthly AP reports and contribute to audit processes
• Mentor and supervise junior AP staff, ensuring high-quality performance
• Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• UAE National with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead role
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
• Solid understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and internal controls
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and coordinate with multiple departments
